I'm looking to buy a dedicated server for my TF2 group and wanted to know which would be best suited to our needs.

What we plan on hosting...
2x 17 slot servers
2x 25 slot servers, one will be running Saxton Hale mode

So i'm looking for something that will run those 4 with no issues and maybe leave room for another server in the future if needed. Any input would be appreciated, I guess the budget is around £70-80 but if I can get away with less than awesome :)

Hi,

The Core2duo Pro or Extreme would be ok for that requirement.

We do have a special on the Dell R300 at the moment which would allow you to run approx x2-3 times what you had in mind and is only £15 over your budget.

Cool, okay. And is there a recommended OS to use?

Hi,

Win 2003 is the default. If you're looking to purchase today, we'll chuck in Window 2008 Standard.

Select Win 2003 and we'll upgrade you from there.

Alrighty, sounds good!

Just a last thing...
1: Where exactly are the servers located
2: Does the price I pay now stick throughout my time here, or will it go up if the special offer ends?

Hi,

1) You can read a bit of info here about our network: http://www.killercre...uk/network-info

In short, KillerCreation is an ISP with our own routing backbone. Our primary routers are in London Docklands and our main hosting site just north of London.

2) The special offer price does not change, it'll stay the same for as long as you rent the dedi.
