BF3: Server Update R15

Hi,

DICE have released Server Update R15 that removes some extra debug code left in R14 by mistake. This extra debugging in R14 is causing game servers to crash completely when even minor errors are detected. Due to this, R14's crash rate has been significantly higher that recent server updates.

R15 can be installed by logging into the Game Panel and going to Game Servers > BF3 > Game Updates and the R15 patch is available there.

This is an optional patch for this evening but all game servers will be required to be running the latest release by mid day tomorrow, 15th December. As such, we will force all instances that have not been updated to R15 around that time.

81.19.208.43:25220 Full crash and restart. Crashed at 14:00 and was running B2K maps only, 64 players in at the time.

Not sure which map as I am busy trying to fill the other servers.

this is the most stable release no lag what so ever and all servers fully loaded :D

Well something has to be causing the same server to crash more than the others. I've taken the B2K maps off the particular server that crashes all the time cos it's annoying as hell.

Would updating to R15 resolve a possible bad install or what?

We can't get our server full now! Normal we join 4-6 members and it's full, withinn long - now it's just not happening :-(

On those servers were they have crashed, are you running the maps mixed? IE Standard maps with Expansion maps in the same rotation?

Lots of "Connection lost".... Impossible to start it..... Yesterday it finaly got full - and *puuuuf....

They really should get there act together, and very, very fast!!

People crash on the server!? Join another server, and no crash!?? What's up with that?

Well, our server hasnt crashed yet at all, which is why I asked if people are running the expansion maps and normal game maps in one rotation. Were not, which might be why were ok.. . . .

81.19.208.43:25210 Complete crash and major lag. It was lagging real badly for about 30 seconds and then it blew up. The server had 64 players on Metro. It crashed 23:00. This server only has Metro/Bazaar

81.19.208.43:25220 lost 30 players during the crash above due to the major lag. This server only has Metro on it.

Removed all the B2K maps and it filled up within 30 min! That's sad, as B2K maps are very cool :-(
