Hello all,
we have banned about 100 hackers from our server in the past 3 days with this new hack that appears to of spread like wild fire. The hacker is able to kill enemies on both teams and get the points as the character is on both sides at the same time. Absolute idiots.
I have constructed a list of Russian IP ranges since we are finding most of the hackers are from Russia, there are 5,600 on the list but I am seeing other Russian gamers with IPs not on our list. What I would like to know is what can be done to ban entire regions from our servers? Would a list of 5,600 IP ranges in PB cause major lag issues?
There is a community that creates scripts that run on your server to monitor KDRs etc, can we use them?

RossCo, they are absolute scum bags. We rely heavily on a number of things:
1. Admins spotting potentials and checking stats, Platoon and clan affiliations, etc. A regualr admin presence is essential.
2. Regulars making use of !admin and alerting us to hackers.
3. PBBans updates. Scum bags are always one step ahead (clearly) so when PBBans does its thing it wipes out masses of them.

Why are we paying a support charge for this crap anyway? Clearly EA aren't doing anything to `support` admins and their attempts at updating server files and combat hacks in nothing short of a joke.
I have had PB streaming since day one, it does nothing to help since the new wave of hacks came out. I have banned 100 blatant hackers in 3 days and it's getting to the point where I've now got procon running so no one from out of mainland Europe can get in the servers.
A hack site in Russia released their mass murder and multi hack for free 2 days ago so now we are getting hammered with hackers. Makes you won't to uninstall the game, seriously bad support on EA/DICE/PB side. They also give you a free key if you purchase a hack, if the hack is caught and you are banned they give you another for free! How on earth are they getting hold of these keys... EA should have a database of hardcoded keys so key gens will not work.
I've already lost some main donaters for my server cos they refuse to play the game anymore. At what stage do we just give up and drop the game and who can actually put pressure on EA/DICE to sort it out? The battlelog forums are flooded with hack complaints and nothing is being done.

btw streaming does not prevent hackers joining a server, it only shows logged bans from other servers

you are right and you are wrong.
Streaming prevent already caught cheaters, to join your server and cheaters caught on your server, will in return also be kept out, from all the other streaming servers. Notice, that it's not bans made by you or your admins, but only bans/violations triggered by the Punkbuster software it self, MD5 scans, PBSS (you find and submit it) or even demo's in some games.
PBBans got just under 4000 servers streaming - do not know how many of those, that is BF3.
GGC-Stream have just under 5400 servers streaming - almost 3200 of them is BF3 servers atm.
Stream your servers, and help fighting cheaters.
Btw! Remember to report the cheaters in BL. I've reported several cheaters, that didn't get caught by PB software. Report them with a outtake from your rcontool logs, where it's easy to see, that it's aimbot/masskill. They do not use it as direct evidence, but i'm pretty convinced, that it's better than just writing "hey, this guy is a hacker......" DICE then look at there behavior and so on. 3-6 days later, try to find the reported player profile again. Some of them will be completely deleted - forever :-)
