Hi KC,
Any news on when the VM issue will be fixed, many of my members including myself are VM users and this is causing quite a stir for me as my members are having to play elsewhere. This of course causes further problems for me as they are laying the issue with KC as other providers are unaffected.
Any news would be really helpful, and i have submitted support tickets to VM also.

VM has been stable for about 36hrs now (they moved some peers off LINX). I know they also had a global issue yesterday unrelated to their LINX congestion - so maybe that was your problem or possibly its ongoing.
We are looking at other solutions to avoid VM at LINX but it's not something we can get up and running in 5 mins. Potentially we're looking again at private peering with them or failing that, we'll take a global off them and filter down to their internal prefixes.

Virgin Media's major national network problem yesterday evening killed all sorts of stuff. Whilst things were coming back online from around 20:00 last night (17th Jan 2012), it's taken a while for things to return to stability. Even this morning I couldn't access anything KC as something was waiting to refresh somewhere, but it seems to be better now.
