Dear customer,

From the 1st of February 2012, we will be merging our gaming related services with GamingDeluxe Ltd (www.gamingdeluxe.co.uk). The merger will form one of the largest gaming entities within Europe under the GamingDeluxe Brand.

We would of liked to have gone with KillerCreation as the ongoing brand but unfortunately KillerCreation Netwoks Ltd still exists and has some contractual business ties which prevent that.

And just to clarify, essentially KC does exist, albeit, just a name change. It's a simple merger of the two gaming customer bases. KillerCreation Networks Ltd is actually the IP transit supplier to the two brands.

Hi Guys.

Got the email last night... Im pleased for you if its a positive move, but do feel a little uneasy if this affects the almost 1 to 1 we have with you here.

With a bigger company, these things seem to become lost.

We have rented from GD before, but we did feel that KC had more to offer. Does this mean that the services will be equal and prices the same? ( as these, certainly for BF3 Servers are cheaper at GD ).

Will we loose the forums and billing platform too? Or will these be merged as well?

Anyway, I hope the transistion goes well.

I used to be a customer of Cybernetics and was around when they changed to GD, altogether we were with them for 4 years. Having had a server from KC before, we have returned to rent another one based on the good previous experience with you guys. After receiving your email my heart sank. I will be watching the situation carefully and if I feel the need I will cancel and not return.

OH NO. IT'S CHANGE! I DON'T LIKE CHANGE! :D :D :D

I was just going to come on and say the News is slow this morning but then I see an unofficial thread has already been made. DOH

So, are we ok to discuss things here Justin? All we need to know is that the level of service we receive right now will not change for the worse. Knowing you, we will be getting better service otherwise you wouldn't have changed. B)

Im with Trojan. All im concerned with is that Justin, Godsbane and co will still be our point of contact as the great and fast customer service here is the primary reason we chose KC and one of the Biggest reasons that keep us here.
I dont want to bad mouth any other companies service (so im not naming names) but some GSP's out there are or have been appauling at dealing with customers and take days to respond to tickets then more days to fix problems. Just before we very first came here we approached several similar UK GSP's to KC for quotes and questions... one were charging stupid money for servers and gave us a quote that was twice as much as here, another told us they were not taking on any new customers (then dissapeared from the net a few weeks later) and the third took 5 WEEKS! to get back to the me after 3 enquiries sent to thier sales team through thier own order/enquiry system by which time we had decided KC were by far the best option.
Customer service once you are a customer is even more important, im sure we all have had experiance of the likes of a certain US based GSP who take 2-3 days to respond to a ticket and the service here at Killercreation is by far the best I have seen when it comes to dealing with any Internet, Web Hosting, Server or Gaming based companies I have used over the last 7 or 8 years...

As long as like I say the customer service (ie: you guys) remain the same, the fast, low latency KC network remain and the prices we pay remain fixed then im happy.

It is very sad however to see the Brand we all know and love go as we have been very happy here with the way it has been for the last 3 years and have been proud to display the KC brand and website by displaying your banners all over our website and adverts for you displayed in our servers auto message systems.

In 2005 my clan had voice and game servers with KC. Following my clan's disbandment I've rented a Ventrilo server since 2007 and my friends and I have rented various game servers since then. I've been with KC for 7 years, either as a direct customer or as a de facto trustee. I've always been very happy with KC products, latency, communication with customers, and the excellent support.

I know it's really none of my business as a customer, but ... why? What's prompted the merge? Not to be a xenophobe, but KC is everything that I want from a host and more, and KC is a brand which I hold in very high regard, and I can't help feeling a little sad that KC is to be merged with GD and not retain it's name.

So... if I may be so bold as to ask: what's the deal?

Does this mean the server IPs change cos this means that server ranking will disappear on Gametracker for example.

My main concerns are what will the transit routes be, the same?
I like the Entanet link you have, one of the main reasons I choose the ISp I have is because of that.

Will our costs now change?

What will the support ticket turnaround be?

My main concern is if the level of support differs from what we at BSM have enjoyed under KC, I really do not want another Jolt type admin performance. If the service level drops I would question our loyalty, sorry if that sounds threatening, but bigger companies usually mean less support and the end user is usually the one that suffers.

Thanks

Since I only run BF3 servers, my guess is if the IP changes then all those who favourited my servers will disappear as well which is a big concern cos if we cannot fill our servers then there's no point having them.

Also the support side of things, connection etc. I stopped using the web tool myself but my other admins still use it, is that going as well?

I must admit, i once had a TF2 server from GD and it ran just the same way as KC server run, smooth and without fault ( or very little ). Also i found the website support top notch.. the only thing that was not so great was IRC support, KC irc support is outstanding... i hope with the merge IRC support stops the same!
And im happy to carry on as a customer providing my servers run as smooth as they do now :)

I have no issue dealing the GD but there a valid concerns and I guess we just need some answers so we know where we stand.

We only have a week before this happens and I need to know if I have to try and let as many of our regulars know that our servers haven't disappeared.

One thing I really hope remains the same: KC's site. All other aspects of the merge aside, I hope that the site design which KC has is implemented by GD, because frankly, their website is cluttered, less well laid out and not very 'clean'.

Why is KC so quiet on the questions being asked?

We just want to know what is happening before it's too late to do anything about it.

Hi guys,

A lot of questions here, I'll try and answer them. Please free to express any concerns you might have. We have always tried to be as transparent in our operation as possible, and that will continue.

Firstly @RossCo:

IPs will NOT be changing (noted in our mass mail to customers yesterday). KillerCreation Networks Ltd is an ISP (AS25369) and we fully own our network infrastructure top to bottom. Gamingdeluxe are a current IP transit customer of KillerCreation Networks, which makes this very easy from an infrastructure point of view. I won't go into too much detail (unless someone wants me to), but just to say, there are no changes there at all

@motorhead:

Transit remains the same. I touched on it above but KillerCreaion Networks is the transit supplier for both KillerCreation and GamingDeluxe brands. Again, no changes there and in fact, we will be expanding the network.

@Everyone else (as questions are mostly the same). I'll break this down into a few categories:

Support

Godsbane (Alvaro) and I will move over to supporting KillerCreation customers under GD. There will also be some new faces on support and overall, we expect to offer an even higher level of support. At first it will be a little harder as the new guys are learning how we do things internally at KillerCreation.

Brand rename

Unfortunately, we could not use KillerCreation as the ongoing brand and thus GamingDeluxe was chosen here. KillerCreation Networks Ltd will still exist and continue to offer IP transit services and other business orientated services away from gaming.

Site and billing/support area

As we're going with using the GamingDeluxe brand, all customers will be migrated over to GD's billing platform. After that is complete (approx 6 months or so), the current KillerCreation.co.uk site will be forwarded to www.gamingdeluxe.co.uk.

Pricing

For the time being, pricing stays the same. After the final customer has been migrated over to GD's billing platform, we'll then have a review on pricing. Prices will not increase, they will only go down, if anything.

Why the merger?

As above, we have always tried to be as transparent with our customers as possible and I think everyone deserves to know why we are merging the two brands. The primary reason for this is the network side of KillerCreation Networks Ltd is undergoing heavy expansion and soon we be servicing four date centres around the UK. This is putting an increasing strain on my time to be able to manage both the gaming and network side effectively.

With that in mind, the merger of the two brands allows us to continue providing a high level of service and support where additional staff will be available to both GD and KC customers. In short, it's better management of resources. My personal time will be spent 50/50 split between GD and KillerCreation Networks.

GamingDeluxe was an obvious target for the merger as they already use our infrastructure and we know the guys running GD. GamingDeluxe operate in a very similar manner to KillerCreation's gaming side with heavy focus on providing reliable high-performance services backed up by comprehensive support.

Thanks Justin,

Good news about the IPs and good news for you. Hopefully everything goes smoothly and we won't notice the difference.

Hi All

I thought id jump in at this point, some may know me, most wont but, i can clarify that GamingDeluxe was started by me 8 years ago as a gamer wanting supiour support and that is our unique Selling Point like KC. Justin and I have been fighting the same cause for many years i.e. be the best and offer the best so why not join forces and cement the deal! You will see from the GD forums we have many happy customers so there is no worries on this. Over at GD we offer this from 10am till 10 pm and Steve, Jon and myself man this but now Justin and Godsbane will be there too so its getting better! We've been using KC's network for 2.5 years and this is getting bigger too due to the merger, which Justin is in charge of so you are in safe hands.

Anyone wanting to introduce themselves or ask questions my email addy is andy@gamingdeluxe.co.uk, im a grown man of 41 so im aprroachable and happy to help and offer advice being a gamer my BL id is "w00der" add me if you like, ill happily chew the fat or assist with problems.

Regards,
w00der / Andy
