Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but from what I gather the merger will in-effect make GamingDeluxe KillerCreation's commercial front, and as a result will absorb the front-end duties (namely sales marketing operations) while relying upon the KC network and in-turn funding the KC's network expansion - which presumably attracts other companies which want to use the network - which is illustrated by the relationship between KC and GD before the merge.
I'm just trying to flesh out the relationship here... have I got that all right?
Once thing that would be good to know, will Justin remain as Company Director by virtue of his control of the network to which GD is reliant, or will Woody remain as Company Director as he controls the primary source of income for the company (making the assumption that the revenue gained through the renting out of the network out is a secondary source), or will this relationship mean that there will be a co-directorship?
I suppose what I'm really asking is, but for the unstated issues with using KillerCreation as a brand name being an obstacle, would the brand name be KillerCreation?

KillerCreation Networks Ltd deals with two diverse markets, the first being gaming and the other IP transit and management geared towards larger business. At the time of writing, revenue is split about 30/70 in favour of gaming related services.
The merger with GD only includes KillerCreation's gaming side. KillerCreation Networks Ltd will spin off and concentre on growing it's IP transit and management where it'll most likely rename to something like Bandwidth Technologies (more biz orientated name).
With the gaming merger, I'll take up a share stake in GamingDeluxe and work approx 50/50 between GamingDeluxe Ltd and KillerCreation Networks Ltd.
GamingDeluxe Ltd will own the rights to KillerCreation as a gaming brand, however, as KillerCreation Networks Ltd still exists, there is the potential for confusion. Although KillerCreation Networks Ltd will be renamed, this cannot be done immediately due to some contractual obligations in place; if the merger happened 6 months down the line, GamingDeluxe Ltd could of used KillerCreation as their brand going forward. Not to delay the merger, we chose to use Gamindeluxe as the brand name instead.
So to sum up, the IP side of KC Ltd is growing and needed to split off from the gaming side in order to maintain the high level of service KC customers are used to. The merger with GD gives us that opportunity by bring in additional staff that have years of experience within the gaming market that will work alongside current KC chaps. The downside is the loss of the KillerCreation gaming name, but something had to give somewhere.

Business change has to happen. In IT stuff especially if you stand still you get trampled upon so it's good to know the plans are to get bigger rather than smaller.
Like many customers I do have my concerns that whilst this is good for the people running the companies, whether it is in fact good for the customer. I too have been impressed by the prompt availability of support, even at times when I expected nobody to be there, from Justin and his team. Indeed I often wondered if Justin's keyboard was part of his anatomy judging from the timing of some responses. Maybe this will let him get a bit of a life away from the data centre? Time will tell, but I can't see that having spent so much effort building things up over the years that they'd want to throw it away so easily.
The biggest immediate loss will be the KillerCreation gaming brand. To be honest I've never heard of the other company until now.

I guess it's seems like a none-of-my-business question, but I figure that if we're to be the merging-customers, then the question as to who is ultimately in-charge is a question which is very much material to the customer/service provider relationship.

Bottom line, nobody likes change.
It's good to see that both GSPs are already established EA RSPs. If there is a risk that the EA relationship would be harmed by this merger that would be very disconcerting.
Oh and if eventually the two websites are to be merged, that probably means only one forum in due course. It would be nice if posts, which equate to a legacy of both organisations, and sometimes contain useful gems of information on solving a weird issue, were not lost but can somehow be merged into the new forums.

KC Ltd novated licenses for BF2, BF2142, Crysis, Crysis 2, BC2 and MOH to GamingDeluxe in addition to their existing BF3 license. Generally once you're in the EA ranked program, it extends to future titles.
If you look at the current top 50 UK BF3 game servers, 32 of them are held by KC/GD. It's safe to say there will be no problem with future titles. Pretty much every BF game to date, KC in particular has held most of the top UK game servers.
