Hi All,
Is anyone else getting real bad lag and spike on their BC2 servers.
Have done the normal restart, chnaged maps reduced kick levels for high ping members, and we still getting lots of lag ping spikes and rubber banding on 1 of our 4 servers.
Regards

Running any PB MD5 scans or PB screenshots (pbss)?
Do you know if this is happening to one set of card users more than the other? (ie ATI more than nvidia)

all fours servers are streaming to pbbans.
Players all using diff cards.
It is mostly just the rush server causing the problems.

Do you have any rcon tools connected to that server? If so have you tried disabling them?
If you have pbss enabled (check your pbsv.cfg) then try disabling them.
Does the lag happen throughout the game or primarily shortly after connecting to the server?

Old thread posting mainly to avoid issues later down the line for anyone with this problem/similar:
- Streaming doesn't cause lag, if lag occurs when streaming and streaming is identified as the problem it's indicative of network issues;
- There is a noted issue with some ATI graphic cards when screenshots are taken (EB are investigating);
- Too frequent checks (i.e. MD5 in the case of BF:BC2/no CVARs) can cause lag to players, it's recommended to use default PBBans config's;
- Then the usual server install issues / server overloaded etc.
