Hi there,

DICE have released Server Update R22 to address a map exploit used in the well known Teleportation hack.

R22 is an optional update and can be installed by logging into http://gp.killercreation.co.uk and going to Game Servers > click your BC2 server > Game Updates and selecting R22 Build.

The update will take approx 30 seconds to install and restart your game server. Please note: Although this is an optional update, all servers will be forced to R22 by Tuesday, 28th at 8am BST (assuming no issues are found).

Big kudos to DICE this time, this was a lightning fast fix.

Thanks for being so prompt with letting us know Justin, a fine service as always.

I don't know which teleport hack it should be supposed to fix. But we just banned a guy teleporting player to him and that's with R22.

Hello justin

It was on our mixed mode server ip: 81.19.208.40:19587.

Sorry for the late reply but was gathering info at the admin doing the ban what type of teleport hack it was. It was the teleport + revive hack where they were teleported to him even in enemybase it was apprently total caos. Many yelled baserape which it wasn't since they were teleported to enemy base to him.

From pb logs:
He connected at: 17:07:02
banned: 17:44:11

at 19.26 someone complained about teleport hack agaain on our rush server: 81.19.208.40:19577 unfortunally no admins on to catch that guy or he left when he saw 5 admins joined.

That's concerning.

I've told my admins to be on the alert.

Thanks for the info.

I've had a look into it and it's not the same as the original TP exploit but along the same lines. DICE are aware of it and working on a fix.

I take it we can expect R23 at some stage in the very near future?

Sorry for the late reply.

Soon I hope, but there is nothing definitive just yet.
