Hey guys.
I was just wondering what you all think of MoH now everyone has had a chance to play the full version?

I think its awsome and EXACTLY what we as FPS players needed. The Multiplayer is Fast with Excellent maps, Great weapon and class selection and well ballanced.
I do love Battlefield and BC2 but they are much slower games and more team based. I do perfer the fast paced full on FPS shooter better I think as if you have a crap team you can still do OK and have a good game. I also like that most of the maps dont become sniper fests like on BC2 where 75% of the team hang back not moving to objectives.
I really hope MoH stays the distance and becomes the new CoD4 as it has the potential to do. Our servers are all full and public and clan members are all loving the game and the low ping servers. I really hope this keeps CoD Black Ops down and becomes the top dog. Although I fear that BO will sell better and will have more gimicky options, I have a feeling that it may fall short... I really want MoH to become the better game as I'm dredding the Black Ops servers that alot of my clan want, the fact that we are being FORCED to rent from just 1 provider and not being given a choice.
I have only played an hour of the SP but it also seems quite good, nice tough missions, excellent AI both alied and enemys that react perfectly to fire and movement and again great ballance of firepower and playability.
I give the game 85/100 and think (and hope) that it will have the staying power we have seen from CoD4
What does everyone else think?

I love it.

Nice fast action, great realism, awesomely smooth engine.

Somebody slap DICE though... 4 char limit on clan tags... RSoBB is too bloody big!!

I know! For about a week at the start of the first Beta you could put anything and use any Bracket too but then they changed it... Its petty but not being able to select or change the Tag brackets from [ & ] is a tad annoying as we use { & }
But this is the kind of tiny nonsence stuff that activision and Treyarch are wasting millions of pounds to go over the top with on the new CoD like the clan tags on your guns features and such nonsense.

Give me fewer features and let me keep our 2 dedicated boxes with KC for ALL our games anyday over tons of mainly pointless gimicky features and what looks like a clone of MW2 with 30yr old weapons and no choice of who you want to host servers with and no punkbuster support.

PunkBuster and PBBans have been working overtime today taking out Multihacks and Cracked CD keys... I have seen a ban get globally anounced every 5 mins.

I think as long as DICE/EA keep the map packs, a bit of extra content, regular PB and Expoloit fixes and some more server tweaking options flowing for the next 12 months they will win on the PC front for multiplayer stayability and like I say MoH could easily be the new CoD4

I'll tell you what I would have loved to see in this title... Tug of War and Liberation. :)

I've been playing today and I really like Objective Raid.

There is much less tactical gameplay than say BF:BC2 or even CoD4. It does have a much faster pace than games we've played recently. It is this faster pace that has set MoH apart from stuff we've played recently and created some variety,

Map design allows too much trapping of teams in spawn points. It actually seems more of an issue than BF:BC2. CoD4 Team Death Match maps gradually rotate the spawn point so that there is some relief, but these spawns stay fixed, unless completely overun. I seem to recall reading about good custom map design for CoD4 that you needed to provide at least three alternate routes for a map to work. Many of these seem quite linear.

There is too limited anumber of maps. They have the potential to become stale quite quickly, even more so than say those in BF:BC2, perhaps because of the lack of tactical purpose.

Different weapons don't seem to have much difference in stopping power / range / deployment speed, player movement speed. I suspect that can be adjusted in an update as they did similar in BF:BC2 and even back in the days of CoD4, but it is something that should have been caught at beta or earlier.

Graphics are what they are. They don't seem to make the system work as hard as BF:BC2 judging by fan speeds. They are fit for purpose, but are clearly an artistic impression of a site rather than attempting to be photographic.

Ranking up / Perks are a problem. Until you can get to at least level three in a class (and you have to rank up in each of the rifleman, special ops and sniper class separately), you don't get any red dot sights. Without those you seem at quite a disadvantage in hardcore game mode. Although it seems wrong that one coutnry gets the game before another theoretically giving some players a head start, I suggest that the greater problem here, more than any game I've recently seen, is the demoralisation factor for those who will come to it late in the day.

Ultimately, has this game got staying power? I don't know. But as something quite different from the FPS games I've played recently I'm enjoying it.

Without having played it and having only seen the videos I know it will not be something we are interested in. It smacks of CS where the highest KD is the greatest goal and its all about the frags, frags, frags. From a personal pov I am a crap "fragger" and I couldn't give two hoots about my KD but when a game merits a team player because he revives his team mates and repairs their armour it fits into our community spirit. Teamwork ftw.

It's not all about that at all.

There are modes where K/D and frags are ultra important, but there are modes where it's not so important. I play Objective Raid, and that mode is about destroying/defending the objectives. You'll always get players who go purely for K/D ratio, but that is certainly not the aim. :)
