Howdy

Pricing will be around ?25-?30 per U with support for matx and shuttle sized cases along with your tranditional rack servers. Power will also be included within the U pricing.

Bandwidth, there will be 2 options :

Fixed unlimited gaming bandwidth package for around ?25
95th percentile usage at around ?15 per Mbit.

Vent like dedi customers will be issued at 15 free slots per server with an option to upgrade.

I read this in another post what i would like to know is what is fixed unlimited gaming bandwidth package for around ?25

Does this mean that i have a a cap in bandwidth in terms of how many servers i can host?

Eg. unlimited but only 1 mbit, so i have unlimited usage transfer but can only run one or 2 game servers
or does it mean unlimited for gaming usage so i can run as many game servers as my server can handle without being choked?

Also what is your opinion on supermicro servers if i may ask?

Hi

Prices are a little bit different these days. Our typical quote is £35+VAT per 1U with 0.5amps and bandwidth at £12+VAT per mbit 95th percentile. The unlimited gaming bandwidth option I'm afraid no longer exists for colo.

All network ports are provided as 100Mbit full duplex ports, it's the data you put through that port which is charged for. There are no caps or similar just simply charged on your usage.

If you're not familiar with 95th percentile billing please have a read here http://en.wikipedia....rstable_billing

With regards to SM servers, yes they are good; we have a few 5015B-TB's. The only thing we don't like about them is their rail equipment, it's takes ages to mount a server and purely based on that we don't purchase them these days. They do also tend to be slightly more power hungry than their Dell counter parts.

I'd suggest looking at either the Dell R200 or R300, we have a load of servers and have proved to be flawless thus far.
