London Internet Exchange (LINX) Outage. 14th Feb 2011

Hi,

At approx 18:50 GMT tonight, 14th Feb, the London Internet Exchange (LINX) suffered a complete outage as seen here: https://www.linx.net...afficstats.html
This affected our peering with many UK, European and even US based ISP's. This seems to have been caused by a faulty switch on the primary Brocade VLAN.

More info will follow shortly but it appears the Brocade VLAN is recovering and some BGP sessions are now back up.

**Update**

A line module in switch 9 on the LINX Brocade vlan failed. This has been disabled and will be replaced within the next 90 mins by an onsite LINX tech in Telehouse North.

This should resolve any further LINX issues for today and traffic should be fully restored by the morning.
