Hi,
I'm interested in renting a server to run battlefield 2 1.0 on and I have a few questions to ask before I decide on which server to rent.
First of all I would like to run Battlefield 2 version 1.0 with a private ranking system and I'm not sure whether to rent a dedicated server or a battlefield 2 gameserver. Is it possible to run bf2cc from your windows battlefield 2 gameservers and is it also possible for battlefield 2 to save ranks to an external stats database from the gameserver?
If these are not possible then I may be interested in renting a dedicated server for running battlefield 2 server on and I have some questions about the dedicated server also.
Would it be possible to run 2 battlefield 2 servers say each of 24 slots on 1 Intel Lite dedicated server running Windows Server 2003 x64 without the two servers interfering with each other?
Thanks for your time

Our standalone game servers are the latest versions, so I'm afraid BF2 1.0 would not be possible.
If you rent a dedicated server, you could of course run 1.0 with BF2CC. I think we even still have the 1.0 files with BF2CC ready to go; we could zip up and give to you for convenience. The min spec I'd recommend for running 2 x BF2''s of any size, would be the AMD X2 and above dedicated servers.

Thanks very much for the reply, I will rent a dedicated server shortly.
What would you say the maximum slots for battlefield 2 server would run on the Intel Lite DS on Windows 2003?

Hi,
It's pretty low spec so I'd not recommend much past 30 slots. The AMD X2 in comparison, is approx 4 times as powerful.

It's a little tricky to tell, however, If you place an order tonight for the AMD X2 Pro, we'll upgrade that free of charge. Drop us a note after you've placed the order to sales@

Hello mate
I ordered the Intel lite server (I don't have funding this month for amx2)
Its up and running and I can connect through VNC but it says its locked where can I find the password for it?
Also is there a cost for upgrading servers and are there any specific ports I should use for the game server other than 16567?
Thanks again
