Question about BF3 and dedi servers

When BF3 launches, for those with BC2 installed, will existing servers be re-formatted and Win 2008 be added?

Hi,

That's right. Any dedi customers currently running BC2 will have to be reinstalled onto Win 2008 to be able to support BF3.

As for when that might happen, we've already started migrations but we have lots to do, and can only do one of two a day. It's a very time consuming process but will plan to get everyone moved over prior to the Official release.

Wonderful. Will you need to know anything about what servers and types to install before hand? We will be losing all but one of our BC2 servers most probably.

Chances are you'll be migrated before the release and thus, I suspect, you'd like to keep the BC2 servers running. Probably best to remove the game servers when the new BF3's are in place.

Im assuming ( just checking here ) that those of us with just normal BC2 servers will not loose there server?
