Hi all,

We've just put in a bulk order with Dell for some new Intel Sandy Bridge PowerEdge R210 II's, with the following spec:

  • Intel Xeon E3-1240 Processor (4 x 3.30 - 3.70GHz, 8MB Cache, Turbo Boost Technology, Hyper-Threading).
  • 4 physical and 4 logical CPU's scaling to 3.70Ghz via Intel's Turbo Boost 2.0 Technology.
  • 8GB ECC 1333MHz DDR3 Ram (4x2GB Single Ranked LV UDIMMs).
  • Sata2 250GB 16MB cache hard drive.
  • 1000Mbit network port as standard.
  • Unlimited Gaming Bandwidth.


We expect to take delivery of the above in early September with set up for around the15th (max 25th).

The new Dell PowerEdge R210 ii's are offered exclusively to customers wanting to run Official EA/DICE Ranked Game Servers. With the high spec in mind, they are perfectly suited for CPU heavy 64 player Battlefield Game Servers :)
